Free and Reduced Price Meals
Romeo Community Schools serves meals every school day. Students may purchase lunch for $2.75 Elementary, $3.00 Middle School and $3.00 High School or breakfast for $1.50. If a doctor has determined that your child has a disability and the disability would prevent the child from eating the regular school meal, the school will make any substitution prescribed by a doctor at no extra change. For further information, please call Mrs. Monica Kaplan, Food Service Director at 752-0304. The doctor’s statement, including diet and/or substitutions, must be submitted to the food service department at your school.
Students may be able to get meals free or at a reduced price. If you now get food stamps or Family Independence Program (FIP) benefits for your child, that child may receive free meals. If your household income is the same or less than the amounts on the Income Chart published with the application, please apply for the reduced priced or free meals. A foster child may receive free meals even if your income is higher that that on the chart. We sell reduced price lunches for $.40 and breakfasts for $.30.
