Home : District Info : High School Reform

Recently, there have been many legislated changes that affect high school education. These changes are summarized under High School Reform and include the following:

  • Mandated High School Graduation Requirements (Michigan Merit Curriculum).
  • Revised Content Expectations for High School Courses.
  • The Michigan Merit Examination (MME) that replaces the 11th grade MEAP test.
  • The Michigan Promise Scholarship that replaces the MEAP Scholarship.

RCS administration and staff have been diligently working to embrace and plan for these changes. There are continual adjustments being made by the state of Michigan to the above reforms and there are still many questions being asked by school districts. In Romeo, we are prepared for all of these reforms and will continually update staff, parents and students with any additional changes. The following folders contain links that you can access to review the most recent information about the changes in high school education. If you have further questions, please contact your high school administration or counseling department.
