District Information

Romeo Community Schools District is located in northwest Macomb County.  We are located mostly in Washington and Bruce Townships and also in parts of Shelby, Armada, Ray, Oakland, and Addison Townships.

The Village of Romeo is the center of the District. We consist of five elementary schools, two middle schools, one senior high school, and the Romeo Engineering and Technology Center.

Our district has a history of successful graduation rates, student achievements, A.C.T., and Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) scores.  Romeo High School has been part of the North Central Association accreditation program since 1930.  All elementary and middle schools made  Adequate Yearly Progess (AYP) during the past school year and participate in the State of Michigan's school improvement program.

Communication

Romeo Community Schools uses a variety of methods to communicate with parents.  This website offers information about the district as a whole, as well as pages for each school, department, classroom, club, and activity.  E-mail addresses for every school employee can be found in the staff directory.  Another tool used for parental communication is the MailOut system.  Parents can subscribe to lists through MailOut, and receive e-mails from schools, teachers, coaches, and club sponsors.  In addition, the district uses Instant Alert to simultaneously place telephone calls for parental notification.  Instant Alert is used to inform parents of school closings, athletic cancellations, school attendance, and meeting reminders.

Parents in Our Schools

Romeo Community Schools has a long history of active parent involvement.  Parents are an integral part of study groups involved in such areas as population growth, redistricting, and school improvement teams.
